I vote for avoiding soy based protein drinks. Whey “spikes” insulin, so I believe it is useful post workout. I agree with the carb comment, with Isopure Zero the low carb standard, but more expensive and not that great tasting. MyProtein is a bit weak. Pea protein messes with my gut. Dymatize Elite is a pretty good choice for me. If you want to go full low carb meal replacement, there is Keto Chow which is good.
I believe it depends on your reason for wanting to get more protein in the first place. Is it for a general overall increase in your protein consumption, or for post-workout gains, are you needing a fast digesting protein or a more sustained longer digesting protein? Your reason should determine your protein…then it’s just a matter of taste.
The is no single “best” protein drink, only personal favourites. There are many good protein drinks on the market and many are very similar. Most people compare the protein/carb proportions to make their initial selection but often try other identical brands until they find their favourite taste/flavour.
