What’s your view on silk liners? Do they really make a difference or do they just keep your sleeping bag fresher???

It’s more to keep your bag clean than as a way to up your inhalation. A 2 season bag isn’t suddenly a 3 season with a sleeping bag liner, even more so if you’re hoping to get a 3 season up to a 4, of course it will make a small difference, but not if it’s in the freezing range.

In my opinion they do make a difference. Personally I think a silk liner adds considerable warmth to a bag.

I use a silk liner and a fleece liner for when it gets cold. One inside the other. Well worth the money.

I always use silk liner. Very little weight, small, very comfy & keeps bag clean. Also used it on its own when camping in Vietnam.

Silk is warm; definitely make a difference, plus small and lightweight.
