When fishing craps and gills how long do you guys fish a hole before moving if not marking fish or just a slow bite?

On a lake I never fished, I’ll check over the lake map, use my basic fishing knowledge that I use to find the species of fish I plan on targeting. Go there, pop a few holes. Drop the vexilar down. Fish for 5-10 minutes. If not at least marking something. On I go to pop more holes until I find a place to fish for hopefully the remainder of my fishing day. Good luck & have fun.

I drill 6-10 holes in an area I want to fish, drop vex in each hole. If I mark fish I fish it. If not I move on. Depends on what I catch how long I’ll stay there. Sometimes 1 hole produces all day.

Now that I have a flip over it will be different, before it was my hub and I hated moving.

I wouldn’t fish a hole without any marks. Keep drilling till you mark fish.

I’ll jump holes for about an hour 1st until I find a nice hole were I mark fish in all those holes and I’ll set up right in the middle of that. Never fails.

If I don’t mark anything i just keep moving along to another hole til i do. No different than trolling in the summer.

Number one reason why people don’t catch fish is lazyness. Keep drilling often I drill 50-100 holes before I really start catching them. Different lakes have different structures. But 30 seconds to a minunte a hole is plenty unless u mark them, even so if they aren’t aggressive don’t waste your time.

Depends on the lake, time of day, and my knowledge of that particular area.  Some lakes, especially those I’m not familiar with, I’m out in under 5 minutes and on to the next hole.

Typically speaking I’ll sit anywhere from 2 hours to all day…depends on weather, if I can drive or have to walk out…I have a hub and don’t like packing/unpacking over and over..
