Whether it would be wise to start doing cardio first thing in the morning

Whether it would be wise to start doing cardio first thing in the morning and whether I should be adding up the calories I burn during the cardio session (e.g. I currently eat 2100calories, if I burn 400 calories during the cardio session, should I eat 2500 daily?) Should I even bother doing cardio? Any tips, suggestions will be appreciated!

Where your calories are coming from matters

And making sure to adequately fuel your workouts will help you progress

So start with knowing BMR and TDEE

I generally eat between those levels calorie wise

But following my Keto macros
0-20 grams carb
.6-.8 X lean muscle mass = protein grams
The rest are fat grams beyond BMR &
Up to TDEE
Some experimenting is required : some people do better over TDEE.

Well, as far as I know, the most accurate way to measure body fat is through DEXA scan, considering I don’t exactly have access to such a machine, I don’t think it would be wise to just throw a body fat percentage in there, is that right?

Unless you got a method you recommend to use for measuring my BF accurately..

This is what I got.

Yes Dexa is awesome if it’s an option

I found Inbody is similar
To my Dexa results
( if that’s an option )

I also use calipers
( they are notoriously low on BF result )
But it might give you an idea

Or you could put some potentials in just to see what happens to the TDEE

It’s really just a starting point and you may find you do better with lower or higher

Ultimately, everyone’s goal is to lose BF while gaining or at least preserving muscle mass. Question is what’s the smartest way to do so, either to throw in a 30-40min cardio session, counting the calories burned in the cardio or not?

Nothing wrong with cardio lots of people like to do it faster not my thing in general but it’ll only help the heart. I just like to focus my cardio with pushing a sled or something like that at the end of my training sessions.
