Who uses the drill bit adaptor to raise and lower their wheel house?

Who uses the drill bit adaptor to raise and lower their wheel house? Do you need a drill comparable to what one uses with a K Drill? I am sure brushless either way but does it have to be a 250$ drill? Was thinking about having my dad machine a bit for mine, but not sure my 18v Dewalt will hack it? Will a slow turning impact do the trick?

Depends on the weight of your house and the condition of your cables and pulleys. Don’t use a impact, it will strip the gears..

As long as you have the dual speed winches and use the lowest seep option you can use just about any drill.
