why plant based diet is better

I’ve been following plant based diet for about 6 months now and am Interested in doing the plant based nutrition course at ecornell ..I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with ms..and is starting a keto diet, that was recommended ..but not the keto with all the bacon and red meats ..kind of a revised keto..Do you guys have any info as to why a plant based diet may be better? I’m still new to all of this!

I suggested a WFPB diet to a co-worker’s mother and her symptoms began to clear. Today she is on a treadmill daily and could barely walk previously.
