I just started adding a TB of wheat germ to my oatmeal.

Eat more than the daily dozen minimum of zinc-rich legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, and include spinach as part of greens. And concurrently eat mineral absorption enhancers, such as garlic and onions.

I bought some 15mg zinc capsules and took 5. I think I’ll need to double or triple my dose for a while to catch up. Based on what I’ve been eating and the levels in the foods I’ve been eating I think I’m pretty deficient. There’s little chance of overdosing as max daily amount is about 280mg. Feeling full of energy tonight not sure it can be attributed to the zinc this quickly though. Time will tell.
